RTE Lyric FM launches hunt for "Choirs for Christmas"

With choirs up and down the country busy rehearsing for their special Christmas celebrations, RTE Lyric FM has once again launched its annual celebration of community, amateur choral music making from all around the island of Ireland - Choirs for Christmas 2023 supported by Sing Ireland.

RTÉ Lyric FM is inviting choirs to join in their choral celebration and send in a recording to the RTÉ Lyric FM Choirs for Christmas Competition. The station is really looking forward to hearing choral performances and sharing music making with the nation this festive season!

As always, a selection of submissions will be chosen for airplay on Evelyn Grant's Weekend Drive from Monday December 9 next.

With everyone enjoying the soundtrack to Christmas, all entries will be posted and available to listen to on the RTÉ Lyric FM Choirs for Christmas webpage. In the meantime check out the main RTÉ Lyric FM webpage for details as to how to enter:

Closing date for the receipt of entries is Friday, December 1 next at 5pm.
