MIT Mullingar introduces Docker

The local IT networking group, MIT Mullingar, will give an introduction to Docker and Containers, featuring Warren Hodgkinson, followed by a short workshop to get people up and running. The event is on Tuesday November 7 at 7pm in the Idaso offices in Mullingar.

Docker is a powerful open-source tool that simplifies how software applications are developed, shared, and run. It uses containers to package applications along with everything they need to work, making it easy to move them from one computer to another without worrying about compatibility.

Docker revolutionises the way software is built and deployed, enabling faster development and deployment cycles.

The workshop is optional; however, the organisers promise it will be interesting and engaging.

The event is the first of a two-part series of lectures; the second will build on the concept of Containers and will focus on Kubernetes.

It in an introductory lecture, though some technical knowledge would be helpful. Limited spots are available, so don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn something new and meet other IT people locally.
