Séan Quinn outlines claims in letter to Senators and TDs
Businessman asks TDs and Senators to meet or contact him.
Businessman Seán Quinn has penned a letter to TDs and Senators calling for an investigation into what he alleges are a series of frauds perpetrated against him, while also describing attempts to link him with Kevin Lunney’s abduction as “pure evil”.
In the letter, extracts of which have been published widely, Mr Quinn asks politicians to investigate the takeover and collapse of his company, Quinn Group, in April 2011 calling it a “complete disaster from day one” and a development that only “caused unrest, sabotage and violence” in the locality.
The 75-year-old has recently written a book in which he details his experience in building his once billion euro empire and the subsequent collapse.
His letter was written to the justice committee, and also to TDs and Senators asking them to either meet or contact him.
“I have been vilified for long enough,” he said.
“I would sincerely ask you, as a public representative, to ensure that any cover up or negligence in terms of investigating the whole issue is reviewed and brought to the public's attention.”
Mr Quinn added that he is not seeking financial gain from bringing these issues to light, but rather stated that an investigation is required in order to address matters he believes to be fraudulent.
