The Magic of Christmas with Winterfest Mullingar

The Mullingar Christmas Market opened at Caffrey's on Mount Street this afternoon, as part of this year's Winterfest Mullingar.

The organising team were busy getting everything in order and the 30 stallholder teams were setting up in preparation for the weekend ahead.

WinterFest Mullingar is a Mullingar Chamber event, and Aisling Coleman, the chamber's office manager, was urging everyone to drop in and have a look around. She said: "We are delighted to bring WinterFest to the town, from today, Friday the 8th to Sunday the 10th, and again next weekend, the 16th and 17th.

"Santa's Grotto is fully booked, but there is loads more - the Elf Workshop, raffles, games, 30 stalls, and outside we have the funfair, amusements, food.

"Come on in and enjoy it!"
