Jack Cooney and Dessie Dolan, former and current Westmeath senior football managers, will join Coralstown/Kinnegad GAA Club for the official opening of the new gym on Friday evening.

Gym opening for Coralstown/Kinnegad on Friday

The Coralstown/Kinnegad GAA Club will officially open its state-of-the-art gym facilities on Friday evening, January 5.

Both previous and current Westmeath senior football managers and former Westmeath stars, Jack Cooney and Dessie Dolan will be in attendance.

Cora Staunton, former Mayo ladies senior football star and winner of four All-Ireland medals, will be one of the guests on the evening. Cora is a former Australian rules star and current RTE Sunday Game pundit and is one of the biggest names in ladies football.

Jason Sherlock, a member of the Westmeath senior football management team, has paid tribute to Coralstown/Kinnegad GAA club and the local community for producing such a top class facility.

The new state-of-the-art gym facilities at Coralstown/Kinnegad GAA Club will be officially opened on Friday evening.

The former Dublin footballer said he has been lucky enough to be involved with a top class sport for a number of years and was full of praise for all associated with the project in Kinnegad.

"I have to compliment the club for having such great facilities. It's a super facility not only a GAA club to have, but for a community. I want to wish everyone the best of luck," he said.

Dessie Dolan, Westmeath senior football manager, also paid tribute and said it's great that the county players have access to the impressive new facilities. He congratulated the Coralstown/Kinnegad club on their great progress.
