The official launch of the East Westmeath branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann (CCÉ) is this Saturday 10 February.

Following the success of the Mullingar All-Ireland Fleadhs, the aim of the new branch of CCÉ is to foster interest in Irish traditional music and the Irish language in the east Westmeath area.

Building on their successful monthly trad sessions, members aim to provide classes in traditional music and dancing for people from Killucan, Rathwire, Raharney, Kinnegad, The Downs and surrounding areas.

The launch is at the Third Place in Raharney on Saturday 10th, 7-9pm; join a music session and to hear plans for the year ahead.
