The awards recognise those who are driving high standards in the accommodation industry and the judging criteria focused on the cleanliness and tidiness of the applicant hotels.

The IASI is a national body that represents the professional interests of the accommodation sector and its remit is to promote best practice standards in the accommodation field.
IASI council members subject all entries to rigorous onsite inspections focusing primarily on the cleanliness and tidiness of the applicant buildings. The IASI sends accommodation providers a list of standards that should be met in order to be eligible for an award.
Every property is required to get 80 per cent in their inspection to pass. After that, 80-87 per cent is a merit award, 87-93 per cent is a silver award and 93-100 per cent is a gold award.
