Concert planned in aid of doctor diagnosed with terminal brain tumour
A concert has been planned in aid of a local doctor.
Caitríona Logan received life-changing news last October when she was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour.
The 37-year-old mother of two has been a radiologist in Regional Hospital Mullingar for many years.
Her diagnoses struck a nerve with the local community who have rallied to support the doctor, raising €285,486 to date for her treatments on GoFundMe.
The latest fundraiser planned is called ‘Tunes for Triona,’ a benefit concert taking place in Clarke’s Bar on February 23.
Top local artists will be playing on the night, including Paulie Martin & Friends, Maedhbh Hughes & Dec Byrne, Get Hitched, and many more.
Caitríona is currently undergoing radiation therapy in Dublin and her family are still exploring treatment options outside of Ireland.
Money raised will be used towards these treatments and any money not used will be donated to the Irish Cancer Society.
Tickets for the concert cost €10 and can be purchased here.
