Ballinafid Multyfarnham Bunbrosna Active notes
Bowls is back
After a long break, BMB Active are resuming the game of bowls in Multyfarnham Community Centre. Those interested are invited to join us at bowls in Multyfarnham Community Centre on Thursdays from February 22, at 2pm. This activity is fun, social, and welcoming to everyone.
International Women’s Day
The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is one of inclusion for women everywhere. You are invited to join us at 12.30pm on Friday March 8 in Multyfarnham Community Centre for a social event, and discussions on the important topic of women’s equality and inclusion in all aspects of life in an ever changing society.
Another aspect of this event is to gather items for women admitted to hospital/refuge somewhat suddenly. A BMB Active member who visits more vulnerable patients has requested toiletries, including small bottles of shampoo, shower gel, tissues, toothpaste and toothbrush, combs or hair brush, and wipes or face cloths. On International Women’s Day a box will be available for attendees to place the items. Thank you for your kind donations at this event.

The Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland work in communities across the country providing dementia specific services and supports as well as advocacy for the needs of those living with dementia and their families/carers. The vision is of an Ireland where people with dementia are valued and supported. A launch meeting takes place in the Annebrook Hotel in Mullingar on Tuesday February 27 at 7pm.
