Gardaí believe burglaries were linked
Gardaí are of the view that four burglaries that took place in Mullingar on Friday last were linked.
Two homes were broken into at Beechlawns, anad two at Chestnut Grove.
The burglaries took place during the daytime, and the homes were unoccupied at the time the intruders gained entry.
“Once again, we would stress to people the importance of taking precautions to ensure their houses are secure, with all doors and windows locked,” a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána told The Westmeath Examiner this week.
Theft
Separately, a suspect has been identified after the theft of items from Aldi on Mullingar’s Green Road.
The suspect, a juvenile, is alleged to have taken goods to the value of €23.
