Slippery Saddle Fund

During the season the Westmeath Hunt run what they call the Slippery Saddle Fund, which means that if you fall off your horse, you pay into the fund. It’s all a bit of fun, and at the end they donate the proceeds to charity.

This year they chose Better Together Therapy Riding Centre, based at Lilliput, who are raising funds to make a sensory trail.

Natalie Carey, qualified therapeutic riding coach, went to the final meet at Loughnavalley at 11.15 to accept a cheque.
