Westmeath included in Yellow level alert for wind

The Met Éireann Weather Warning Alerting Service included Westmeath in a Yellow level alert for wind.

The message is: Very strong and gusty southerly winds associated with Storm Kathleen.

Forecasters say possible effects of the wind include:

• Difficult travel conditions

• Debris, loose objects displaced

• Coastal flooding

• Wave overtopping
