Double delight at worlds for local Irish dancer
Local Irish dancer Bláithín Stenson's luggage was a lot heavier on the way home from the WIDA World Championships in Belgium at the weekend after she won two globes at the prestigious competition.
The Horseleap native, who dances with The Emerald Lakes Academy of Irish Dance in Rochfortbridge, finished in second place in both the U18 solo championship and in the U21 traditional set championship.
Bláithín, who appeared to the TG4 dance show An Ríl Deal in 2020, is no stranger to winning trophies at the world championships. In 2022, she finished second in the U16 solo competition.
