Local athletes in one of closest games at Special Olympics Ireland Winter Games
About 300 athletes plus coaches and volunteers descended on Craigavon for the Special Olympics Ireland Winter Games.
A Connaught team including athletes from Mullingar, Loughrea, Athlone and Galway made it to the third/ fourth place play-off.
In one of the closest and hardest fought games of the tournament, Connaught lost out 11-10 to Leinster.
All put in huge effort over the weekend but it was a quite bus that dropped the lads off at The Kinnegad Plaza on the Sunday evening, from where they headed home for a well earned rest.
