Mullingar Rugby Club is celebrating its 100 birthday next year with a Centenary Ball in the Mullingar Park Hotel on February 2.

Tickets for the event are now on sale. In a press release issued this week, the club said: "This grand celebration marks 100 years of rugby and community spirit. Join us on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Mullingar Park Hotel for a night to remember.

"The evening kicks off with a delicious three-course meal followed by the premiere of 'MRFC, The Movie', a film celebrating the club's vibrant history, produced by award winning director Noel McIntyre. Expect a lively auction with exclusive rugby memorabilia and holiday getaways, hosted by Aidan Egan. We’ll end the night dancing to the hit 80s band, Spring Break.

"We extend a heartfelt thanks to our sponsors Keane's HealthPoint Pharmacy and Charter Medical for their generous support. Sarah Jane Foster, renowned podcaster, and influencer will host our special night."

Club vice president Ciaran Murtagh, host Sarah Jane Foster and club president Conall Fitzgerald at the launch of the Centenary Ball.

Club president Conall Fitzgerald says that the club's centenary "is a major milestone for us".

"We've planned a fantastic celebration and look forward to welcoming everyone."

Vice president Ciaran Murtagh encourages early ticket purchases: "Tickets are €100 each, available from our club website. We expect a full house, so get yours soon!"
