Cyclists and drivers 'have dual responsibility'

Road users have been urged to be mindful of others following a pair of collisions involving a cyclist and motorist over the last week.

“We would like to remind readers of the 1.5m safe distance between cyclists and vehicles. This has to be maintained at all times and both drivers and cyclists have dual responsibilities when it comes to road safety,” a garda spokesperson told the Westmeath Examiner.
