Castlepollard hurling club honour former player as new facilities opened
The Castlepollard hurling club held the official opening of their pitch and new facilities at Castlepollard Hurling Club on Bank Holiday Monday May 6.
The club have embarked on a major project as they developed state-of-the-art training facilities that includes an impressive gym.
It was officially named Donal 'Duck' Devine Centre and Astro Park in memory of the former Castlepollard hurler, who passed away suddenly in 2017.
Special guest was Thomas Byrne TD, Minister of State at the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media and Equality at the Department of Education.
