St Colman's annual 5km run ‘a lovely day out for all’
Staff, students, and other members of the of St Colman’s National School community came together for their annual 5km run on Sunday week last, April 28.
Principal Ger Behan said it was “a lovely family day out for all” that brought the “whole community together” and those with all levels of ability took part.
The race began at Mullingar Shamrocks GAA grounds before the runners made their way to Robinstown and back along the Royal Canal to the finish line at Ginnell Terrace.
Mr Behan said he hoped “everyone enjoyed themselves”.
“I’d like to say a huge thank you to all our staff who’ve helped to make today possible and to our parents association, who are always so active and supportive in all their hard work in organising the event,” he said.
“I’d also like to thank local residents for their cooperation and support in running today’s event, and also to our event sponsor Barry Martin Motors.” Funds raised from the run will go towards the school.
