Playground among two planning hopes for Cullion
An application to construct a new children’s playground at Cullion has been submitted to Westmeath County Council. The playground is to go at Cullion Hurling and Camogie Club and the application has been submitted by the Cullion Amenity Development Group.
Lodged with the county council towards the end of April, a decision is due on the application by June 18.
Separately, Cullion Hurling Club have submitted an application seeking permission to extend their existing clubhouse.
The extension is to be of 312 square metres to the north and western sides of the existing building.
The club are also seeking permission to decommission the treatment system at the grounds and to install a packaged waste water treatment system and polishing filter in its place.
