Minister Burke visits Mullingar firm making waves internationally
Minister Peter Burke this week visited Zeon Healthcare, a Mullingar based nutraceutical company (vitamins and supplements) that is making waves internationally.
Zeon Healthcare has developed a range of over-the-counter products, typically sold in pharmacies. The product portfolio ranges from eye health, probiotics for colic babies and a probiotic/hydration for kids. Zeon also has a cosmetic pillar of the business called Human and Kind.
The products were developed in Mullingar through the in-house team and partners. The products are then manufactured by contracted manufacturers, solely and exclusively for Zeon. The products are currently on the market and are being distributed from Mullingar to Ireland, UK, Greece, Malta, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium, Dubai in the AEU and Pakistan – soon to be Ukraine and USA.
Minister Burke said he was delighted to see yet another Mullingar-headquartered business go from strength to strength, and commended the management team, staff and Westmeath Local Enterprise Office, supported by the Department of Enterprise, who have given great guidance and advice to Zeon as they continue to identify and secure further international markets to export to.
“This government is prioritising balanced regional development, and we continue to invest and support innovative companies such as Zeon who provide high-quality jobs for our graduates and workers, meaning they can work near home and enjoy quality of life benefits in the heart of our communities. As Minister, I will continue to ensure these companies are supported into the future”.
