MTB's junior bands to shine in 'A Polyphony Performance' recital

Mullingar Town Band’s Junior Music Programme is hosting its end-of-season informal recital, ‘A Polyphony Performance,’ next Tuesday, June 4, at 7pm in the Bandhall. This event will showcase the progress of the junior bands over the past year.

The recital will feature performances from the recorder class and two junior bands, who will also demonstrate their Colourguard (flag) and bucket drumming skills. For the first time, students from the Mullingar Music Academy will join the recital, performing a selection of songs and music they have learned this year.

This free event is an excellent opportunity for those considering joining the bands or the Music Academy’s programme in September.

Looking ahead, the Mullingar Music Academy is excited to announce the launch of a new youth choir, set to rehearse on Monday evenings starting in September. Interested individuals are encouraged to register by calling 085 846 1173 or visiting the Bandhall. A 10% discount on Autumn 2024 term tuition is available for those who register with payment before June 30.
