FAI Clubmark Award for Mullingar Athletic

Mullingar Athletic AFC were very proud to be the 200th club to receive the FAI Clubmark award. Grassroots director Ger McDermott, FAI regional manager Jimmy Mowlds, Barry McGann FAI club development coordinator and Westmeath RDO Glen Byrne visited our grounds in Gainstown to present the award to the club executive.

The easy part is accepting awards but all the hard work goes in for many weeks and months beforehand, so huge thanks to each and every one of our club coaches and volunteers for all the hard work along the way. Lots still to do but we are very excited about the future.

Fine win for U12 side as season ends on a winning note

Mullingar Athletic AFC U12 finished off the season with a convincing 4-0 win away to Portlaoise.

The team has enjoyed a terrific season and played some outstanding football at times. The boys will get together one last time before their summer break as they cheer on Ireland in the Aviva on June 4 in what will be a great occasion for all the players.

Well done to the entire squad of players, their coaches James and Jimmy and all the parents for all their great support throughout the season.
