Westmeath player named on GAA.ie Team of the Week

He and his Westmeath teammates may have been been dumped out of the championship by Derry last Saturday evening, but Westmeath captain Kevin Maguire's performance in Newry has earned him a place on GAA.ie's Team of the Week.

The Caulry club man and his colleagues put in a solid shift in Pairc Esler on Saturday evening, managing to restrict Derry to only nine scores (2-7) over the course of 70 minutes.

However, Westmeath struggled at times to find the balance between defence and attack, scoring only 0-7 themselves.
