Westmeath restaurant owners announce they will close up

The owners of Coffee Haven in Athlone restaurant have annnounced they are closing their doors, with new owners taking over the premises.

The restaurant in Inish Carraig Business Centre, Golden Island announced today that it would close on June 30.

It's the second significant restaurant to decide to close in 24 hours, following the announcement by Kafe U yesterday.

In a post on its social media, Coffee Haven said: "It is with great sadness that we will finally close our doors at Coffee Haven for the last time on Sunday, 30th June."

"We would like to thank everyone so much for all the support over the years. We will miss the catch ups, craic, banter, the families and friends we have watched grow and expand over the years.

"With sadness there will be happiness and new beginning and we would like to wish the new owners the best of luck with the new adventures in the premises.

"We hope to see you all over the course of the next two weeks," the statement, signed by Nino, Giovanna and family and our amazing team of staff, concluded
