The senior and under 16 Poc Fada competitions took place on Saturday morning in the new venue of the Hill of Uisneach. In the senior men's competition, Ringtown's Pat Burke was victorious after three rounds with a top score of five pucks. Southern Gaels' Cian Geary came second after coming within a metre of matching Burke's top score.

An evenly matched under 16 competition saw eight competitors top score with six pucks, requiring a puck off to decide a winner. Daire Fagan (Castletown-Geoghegan) emerged victorious in this puck off, edging Austin O'Grady (Ringtown) and Dara Geary (Southern Gaels) into second and third place respectively. Congratulations to Pat and Daire, who will now represent Westmeath in their respective Leinster competitions next month.

Chloe Butler won the senior camogie competition and Sionnann McCormack (LLG) won the U16 section..

Thanks to all who took part and their spotters, to the Clarke family for hosting, to Johnny Greville and Ronan Farrell for organising, and to stewards Martin Geary, Des Cawley and Tom Farrell for helping with the running of the event.
