Woman hospitalised after swimming difficulties at Lough Ennell

A woman has been hospitalised after experiencing difficulties while swimming at Lough Ennell.

The incident occurred yesterday afternoon when the woman's husband realised he hadn't seen her for a while and raised the alarm.

Instructors from the nearby Lilliput Adventure Centre entered the water and managed to reach her.

They performed CPR, and an ambulance arrived on the scene within minutes.

The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment, where she remains in serious condition.
