Unseasonably cold conditions with unsettled weather

Quite unsettled with rain or showers. Cool for the time of year. So says the latest bulletin from the national weather forecaster.

This morning will be mostly cloudy with patches of light rain, drizzle and mist. The rain will clear eastwards to sunny spells and scattered showers for the afternoon and evening. Becoming breezy as light to moderate southwest winds increase moderate to fresh westerly. Highest temperatures of 14 to 20 degrees, mildest in the southeast.

Tonight will be breezy with a mix of clear spells and scattered showers. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees in a moderate to fresh southwest to west wind.

Tomorrow will be breezy and blustery with fresh and gusty westerly winds. It will be unseasonably windy at times, particularly in Ulster. There will be sunny spells and scattered showers during the morning, continuing in Ulster but clearing from other areas during the afternoon. Cloud will increase in the southwest in the evening, bringing some light rain or drizzle. Highest temperatures of 13 to 18 degrees.

Cloudy with rain or drizzle in the south overnight on Thursday, turning heavy at times. Clearer with isolated showers elsewhere, mainly in Ulster. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 12 degrees with winds easing light southerly overnight.

Rain will clear from southern areas during Friday morning and will be followed by scattered showers, some turning heavy. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees with a light to moderate southwest to west wind.

Friday night will be mostly dry with clear spells, although some showers will continue in the north and west. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees with a light westerly wind.

A mostly dry morning on Saturday with sunny spells, although there will be some showers in the north and west and these will extend to other areas through the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees with a light to moderate westerly wind.

A mix of clear spells and scattered showers overnight on Saturday. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees with a light to moderate southwesterly wind.

Sunny spells and scattered showers again on Sunday. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees in a light southwest to west wind.
