Eurovision star Johnny Logan drops in to Oscars Restaurant

Three time Eurovision winner for Ireland and world-renowned singer, Johnny Logan, made a visit to Mullingar recently.

The national icon who famously represented the country in the Eurovision song contest with his songs 'what's another year' and 'hold me now' visited the town  which is now being recognised as the 'music capital of Ireland'. This theme has caught the attention of big stars including Mr. Logan who spent time here last week.

The singer dined in local restaurant Oscars with manager Noel Kennedy saying the team were "delighted" to have him dine with them.

"He was brought in by a regular customer who was a drummer on the show band scene and they have been friends since the early 70's. The pair were in town for the night to meet friends and popped in here to Oscars for a bite to eat.

"The staff and some of the customers were delighted to see him. In fact, we had two customers here that had tickets for his concert coming up in Vicar Street in August. They were delighted to see him and they got photographs taken with him outside and showed him their tickets for the concert. He was very complimentary with the food and the service which we were delighted with," he said.
