Castlepollard 5k returns next month

The popular Castlepollard 5k makes an eagerly awaited return this August after a year hiatus.

The “Tullynally Challenge” is taking place on Wednesday, August 21 at 7.30pm and is hosted by North Westmeath Athletic Club.

The race starts in the village of Castlepollard and follows a route through the picturesque grounds of Tulllynally Castle before returning to finish in the village.

There will be prizes awarded to overall winners and age category winners and there is sure to be plenty of competition with a fast finish on a downhill back into Castlepollard.

Chip timing and online entry is being facilitated by MyRunResults and entries cost €18 online or €20 for on the day entry and €10 for walkers.

All participants will receive a bespoke medal of the stunning Tullynally Castle and participants of all abilities are invited to take part.
