Record number of cars at Mullingar vintage show

The weather may have been far from ideal, but a record number of vintage car enthusiasts from across the country brought their vehicles to this year's show organised by Mullingar Classic and Vintage Car Club.

The event, which once again took place at Forest Park, attracted over 120 vintage and classic car owners from the four corners of Ireland. On display were vintage cars from the 1920s up to classic cars from the 1990s.

Thanking his fellow enthusiasts for their ongoing support of the event, John Gavin of Mullingar Classic and Vintage Car Club said that the show is a favourite among the vintage car community.

"The reason we get such good support is that the Mullingar Classic and Vintage Car Club supports every other clubs' events. We travel the country and that's why people return the favour."

Mr Gavin also thanked that event's sponsors (Lift Hire Ireland, Mullingar Nissan and Mullingar Opel, Mullingar Autos, and Wallace Waste Solutions) for their continued support over the years.

"We'd also like to thank every one who helps organise the event, as well as the public for attending," he said.
