Capt Paddy and Lucky to raise funds for LauraLynn and Dogs Trust this weekend
Captain Paddy & Lucky, Mullingar's Globetrotting Aviator bears have temporarily hung up their flying suits to promote their fundraiser at Harbour Place Shopping Centre this Saturday.
The two bears are mascots for Aviation Ireland’s fundraising and awareness campaigns for LauraLynn Children's Hospice and the Dogs Trust of Ireland.
Their recent achievements include flying with the RAF Red Arrows, Supersonic flights with the Czech Air Force, gliding at the Leinster Gliding Centre and flying on a Flex-Wing at Limetree Airfield.
“We are touring around Mullingar currently and we recently popped into the Garda station in Mullingar where we met student Garda Powell and Garda Gallagher,. We also said hello to the Joe Dolan statue, visited the beautiful and scenic Belvedere House and Gardens, had a lunchtime visit to Clarke's bar and finished off with tea and cake at Annebrook House Hotel,” Captain Paddy & Lucky said in a recent statement.
“Our carer Jason was at Bray Air Display recently where he gave us a voice and discussed our incredible adventures with the voice of Irish Rail himself Michael Comyn and promoted Mullingar.” they said.
The two bears will be at the Harbour Place shopping centre this Saturday August 10 to meet and greet the general public. They will be on hand to help raise funds for Lauralynn Children's Hospice & Dogs Trust Ireland this weekend.
