Local players named in Leinster squad for Women's Interprovincial Series

A number of local players have been named in the Leinster rugby squad for the Vodafone Women’s Interprovincial Series, which starts next Saturday, August 10.

Mullingar RFC duo Ciara Faulkner and Katie Layde, are two of nine uncapped players named in the squad. Another uncapped player named in the squad is Rosemount's Emma Kelly (Tullamore RFC).

Mullingar RFC's Ellie O’Sullivan Sexton is one of four development players who have been added to the 35 player roster by Leinster head coach Tania Rosser to gain valuable experience.

Captained by Hannah O’Connor, Leinster are looking to retain the title they won in dramatic fashion by beating the then-reigning champions Munster in the 2023 final in Cork.
