Witness appeal: serious assault, Oliver Plunkett Street, Mullingar

Gardaí are investigating a serious assault that occurred on Oliver Plunkett Street, Mullingar on Monday August 5 last.

In the early hours of that day, a man aged in his 30s was seriously assaulted and was taken to Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar for treatment.

He remains in a serious condition.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward or who may have been in the vicinity of Oliver Plunkett Street, on Monday August 5, between the hours of 1am and 4am.

Additionally, anyone with camera footage from the area at the time is encouraged to provide it to investigating gardaí.
