Fans back Niall and One Direction mates to catch reunion fever
One Direction fans are hoping reunion fever starts to catch on as BoyleSports slashed the odds of Niall Horan and his One Direction band mates getting back on the road in half from 3/1 to 6/4.
Oasis have already added new dates to their comeback tour with demand soaring ahead of Saturday morning’s ticket release, with Irish fans bracing themselves for a scramble to be part of a Croke Park double-header next August.
But now 1D fans are eyeing a comeback tour of their own after getting a taste for reconciliation this week. Fresh off two sold out nights at Dublin’s Royal Hospital Kilmainham, singer Niall Horan took his tour to Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena this week where an interesting onlooker got tongues wagging about a One Direction comeback.
Former bandmate Harry Styles was spotted in the audience chatting to Horan’s mother, sparking rumours the boys could follow in the footsteps of the feuding Gallagher brothers by shelving their solo projects to reunite the band. Styles has previously said he would ‘never say never’ when quizzed about a reunion while fellow ex-member Louis Tomlinson is also on record saying a comeback is ‘inevitable’ one day.
A Glastonbury headline slot for One Direction next year remains unlikely, although the odds have been clipped into 25/1 from 50/1 with an Oasis statement on Wednesday confirming their name will not be on the bill for summer 2025.
Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “With Harry and Niall in the same room, many believe a reunion is closer than ever and the odds are only going in one direction now as fans hope Oasis have started a trend.”
