Shamrock Rovers' hopes of getting back into the title race took a huge blow as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Bohemians on Sunday.
Neil Farrugia put Stephen Bradley's side into the lead in the Dublin derby after 15 minutes, with Bohs drawing level as they went into the interval level.
In a must win game for both sides, Rovers were reduced to 10 men when Lee Grace received his second yellow card after 66 minutes.
Alan Reynolds' side took full advantage and scored the winner through Filip Piszczek to give Bohemians the three points.
The win leaves them seven points ahead of Drogheda, while Shamrock Rovers are in sixth, and in danger of missing out on European football.
In Sunday's other game, St Patrick's Athletic bounced back from defeat in Europe with a 4-1 win over Drogheda United.
Chris Forrester put Stephen Kenny's side in front after 29 minutes, with Douglas James-Taylor equalising after 43 minutes.
St Pat's regained the lead shortly after, with goals either side of half-time from Jake Mulrany.
The victory was then sealed by Mason Melia in the 93rd minute.
The win put St Pat's within four points of Shamrock Rovers.
