Eugene Murray, affectionately known as ‘Stumpy’, is a hardworking man from Coralstown. A devoted father of four, Eugene balances his full-time responsibilities running two farmyards, with the demanding role of a caregiver. Eugene cares for his elderly parents, both in their 80s, while also supporting his wife as she bravely recovers from cancer.

Despite these immense challenges, Eugene remains the rock of his family, holding their home together with pure strength and determination. He is a constant source of motivation and encouragement for his children, instilling the values of hard work and resilience. Eugene’s selflessness and dedication make him an exemplary figure in the community, embodying the spirit of perseverance and love. He is certainly a worthy nominee for carer of the year.
