The Castlepollard Community College Pitch and Putt team, consisting of Billy Buckley, Tadhg Burns, and Alex Mills, have recently achieved remarkable success. These three determined young men have defied the odds through their sheer willpower and unwavering self-discipline.

Surpassing all expectations, and despite receiving limited external support, the trio trained diligently on their own, showcasing an exceptional level of commitment to their sport.

Their hard work bore fruit on May 3 when they clinched the Leinster Schools title in Lucan with an impressive team score of -5. Just a fortnight later, on May 17, they continued their outstanding performance by securing a second-place finish in the All-Ireland Secondary Schools Competition held in Clonmel.

The achievements of this team are a testament to their relentless dedication, resilience, and deep passion for pitch and putt. Billy, Tadhg, and Alex have not only brought pride to Castlepollard Community College but also stand as a shining example of how far team work takes you.
