Three burglaries in Mullingar

Gardaí have appealed for information from the public following three burglaries in the last week.

On Friday last, September 6, items worth €3,000 were taken when burglars gained entry to a house in the Rochfortbridge area between 1pm and 8pm. Gardaí have appealed for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in that area around the time of the burglary to contact Mullingar Garda Station.

The Mullingar bar Danny Byrne’s was broken into in the early hours of September 6. The perpetrators gained entry to the rear of the building between 4am and 5am before making off with items worth in the region of €900.

On Thursday, September 5, a house in the Abbeylands estate was broken into and a number of items worth around €500 were taken. The break-in is believed to have occurred between 2am and 4am.

Gardaí are appealing to members of the public who may have information relating to any of the burglaries to contact Mullingar station. They have also advised homeowners to be vigilant about home security as the nights get longer.
