'Substantial' reward offered for return of stolen boat engine
The owner of an outboard motor stolen from a boat in the Casltepollard area last week has offered a “substantial” reward for its return.
The boat was moored on the western shores of Lough Lene near the pump house. Thieves broke its lock and made off the motor, a 15 horsepower Yamaha outboard, sometime between 5pm on Friday September 20 and 5pm the following day.
The engine is around 30 years old and its owner says that it has sentimental value. He says that he is willing to pay a “substantial” reward for its return. If anyone has anyone information relating to the whereabouts of the engine they should call 0872866508.
