The local chapter of the Society of St Vincent de Paul are holding an information evening next week.

Members of the St Vincent de Paul in Mullingar and surrounding areas will be at the Parish Community Centre, Mullingar on the evening of Thursday October 3 from 7pm to 9pm.

The event is for anyone who would like to know more about the organisation and the many roles people can volunteer for.

They include visitation, shops, education and housing conferences.

People are welcome to call in any time during the evening to meet members and hear more about their work and experiences.
