Former Westmeath supremo to manage Leinster in Railway Cup reboot
Former Westmeath manager Dessie Dolan will be in charge of the Leinster selection in this month's reboot of the Railway Cup.
Dolan's Leinster team will take on Connacht in the Football Review Committee (FRC) sanctioned interprovincial football semi-finals in Croke Park on Friday, October 18, throw-in at 6pm.
Ulster will play Munster in the second semi-final (8pm) of the double header in GAA headquarters on Friday evening of next week.
The semi-finals are the first televised matches that will played under the experimental rules drawn up by the FRC. These trial games will road-test the proposed new rules for Gaelic football.
The semi-finals will be televised live on TG4 on Friday night, while the final and shield matches will be shown on RTÉ.
The squads will be made up of inter-county players whose club championship seasons are over.
Tickets are available from Ticketmaster, with a €15 adult ticket granting entry to all four games. Children's tickets are priced at just €5.
