Exams are a two-week snapshot, says principal
Castlepollard Community College was buzzing with chat and catch-ups as parents TY, Leaving Cert and LCA students gathered in the assembly hall for the Junior Cert results last week.
Addressing the gathering, principal Natasha Greville spoke to the pupils about the importance of their contribution to the school and that the Junior Cert were not the measure of that – instead they were a two-week window, a snapshot of their academic journey.
Deputy principal James McGrath praised the recent successes of the school’s camogie and hurling teams and said that many of the pupils receiving results were returning that evening to showcase the school and their subjects at the open night.
