Disco Inferno claims local TY students

It’s time for ‘Celebration’ as you make this ‘A Night to Remember’. This week, from Thursday October 17 to Saturday October 19, Coláiste Mhuire and Loreto College are staging the devilish hit ’70s musical ‘Disco Inferno’.

The show – a jukebox musical – is set in 1976 London, where Jack (played by Eoghan Daly) has a “burning” desire to become famous. Along with his girlfriend Jane (played by Clodagh Egan) and his friends Tom (Tom Fay), Maggie (Aoibh Doran) and Terry (Seán Byrne), he navigates life on the music scene with Duke (Niall Brady), Heathcliffe (Pádraig Monaghan) and Kathy (Grace Doyle).

He makes a pact with Lady Marmalade (Eva Jackson) that leads him to the life he always wanted.

But is that life isn’t all that he has imagined it would be.

Could it be a magic night out? Absolutely. You’ll be ‘Crocodile Rocking’ in the aisles as you take yourself back to the songs and fashions of that time.

Tickets, €15, are on sale now in the school reception, Loreto College, Topic Newsagents (Mount Street) and Spar (Dominick Street). So boogie on down in the school gym from this Thursday to Saturday at 7.30pm.
