Local Green Party General Election candidate announced

The Green Party has announced its candidate for the Longford-Westmeath constituency.

Kinnegad's Carol Okeke has been chosen as the Green candidate for the upcoming election.

Okele previously served on Westmeath County Council from March to June this year as a replacement for Green Party councillor, Hazel Smyth, when she went on maternity leave. Okele ran in the recent local elections in Kinnegad for a place on the council, but was not elected.
