National win for Sleator’s Bodyshop

A Mullingar business team are celebrating a major victory having won both a Leinster title and the prestigious overall national award at the Irish Auto Trade expo, held at the RDS in Dublin.

Notified in advance that they were winners of the Leinster Bodyshop of the Year award, staff from Sleator’s Bodyshop, of Lough Sheever Corporate Park were thrilled when they were then named as winner of the national Bodyshop of the Year award.

The awards, presented by the Irish Auto Trade magazine, recognised the company’s excellence in vehicle repair and customer service, marking a significant achievement for the business.

Now in operation for over 25 years, providing high-quality repairs and services in the midlands, Sleator’s Bodyshop is managed by Steven O’Hara and owned by Criostoir and Emer Sleator, who also have Kia and Suzuki dealerships at Lough Sheever Park.

Steven expressed his pride in the success of the operation in winning both the regional and all-Ireland titles, a rare accomplishment in the industry. “It’s usually one or the other, but to win both was just phenomenal,” Stephen said.

The judging process for the awards involved input from various industry professionals, including insurance companies, engineers, and customers.

Steven explained that the business was evaluated on several factors, including customer care, service quality, and its ability to handle insurance repairs for major companies like Allianz, Zurich, and Axa.

One of the key elements that set Sleator’s apart from its competitors is the use of the latest technology, including the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which ensures safety features in modern vehicles are properly maintained and repaired.

The relocation to Lough Sheever from their original base in Clonmore five years ago has allowed the company to expand operations and improve service offerings, which Stephen noted has made a significant difference in their ability to serve clients across the midlands.

Sleator’s Bodyshop employs a dedicated team of 12 who work to maintain the company’s high standards of repair and customer satisfaction. Their commitment to excellence has earned them a strong reputation in the industry and helped the body shop secure their prestigious awards.

The team are now looking forward to continued success and growth, buoyed by the recognition they received at the Irish Auto Trade expo, says Steven.
