Our scarecrows are much more than things of straw, say Holy Family pupils

The children of Holy Family Primary School took part in a whole school creative project before the midterm break.

The project brought a huge buzz to the school and the scarecrows were the topic of conversation in the classrooms, in the staffroom and probably in many homes also.

The scarecrows were a STEAM project that integrated many curricular areas. Each of the 18 scarecrows had their own profile, which brought each to life and the winner was announced by Mr Molloy, principal, on Friday before the children got their Halloween midterm break.

The overall winner was Mr Darragh Lyons' second class, who won a trip to McDonald's after Halloween break.
