Cannabis valued at €105,000 seized at Loch Gowna
Man to appear before court in Navan.
As part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs, Cavan Gardaí seized cannabis with an estimated street value of €105,000.
The discovery was made on Thursday, November 7.
A property at Loch Gowna was searched and a growhouse was found, as well as 3.1kg of cannabis, with a street value of approximately €62,000 and 46 cannabis plants, with a street value of €36,800, were seized.
A follow-up search was conducted at another address in Loch Gowna, where a growhouse was discovered along with cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €6,400.
Two men (aged in their 20s and 30s) were arrested and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
The man in his 30s has been charged and will appear before this morning’s sitting of Navan District Court.
The man in his 20s has been released without charge, pending the submission of a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
