Monthly Session

The Castletown Geoghegan Comhaltas monthly traditional music session is this Friday, November 22, at 9pm in Ned Claffey’s, where all musicians, singers and dancers are welcome. A cup of tea and refreshments will be available on the night as always. “We had a great turnout at our recent sessions and hope to see more people join us for a great evening’s entertainment.”

Annual General Meeting

The branch AGM on Monday October 21 in Castletown Geoghegan Hall, was an opportunity to reflect on the activities from the previous year and look ahead to the future. Shane Heraty and Áine Burge stood down from their roles on the committee and members thank them for their work and dedication to the branch over many years.

The officers elected were: honorary president Davy Joe Fallon; chairperson Enda Seery; vice-chairperson Ciarán Seery; secretary Barbara Reynolds; assistant secretary Áine Burge; PRO Shane King; youth officer Rachel Maxwell; Irish language officer Dick Stokes; child protection officer Siobhan Farrell; auditor Séamus Seery; delegates to the county board; Enda Seery and Dick Stokes.
