Mullingar Town Park awarded Green Flag

Mullingar Town Park has retained the prestigious Green Flag Award, an internationally recognised mark of excellence for public parks and green spaces

The awards highlights the quality of the management, facilities, environmental standards, and contribution to the local community that the town park represents.

The Green Flag is granted by An Taisce, the National Trust for Ireland, as part of a global initiative to promote well maintained and sustainable public green spaces.

The standards at Mullingar Town Parks are evidence of the collaborative efforts of Westmeath County Council and Mullingar Tidy Towns, as well as the local community, in maintaining the park as a welcoming space for residents and visitors to enjoy.

The achievement also underlines the importance of parks in fostering biodiversity, promoting environmental stewardship, and enhancing community wellbeing.
