Male passenger seriously injured in N4 accident
The male passenger injured in a single vehicle collision near Multyfarnham this morning is in a serious condition in Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar, according to gardaí.
The female driver of the vehicle was also transferred to MRH Mullingar and and has what are being described as non-life threatening injuries.
The N4 between Mullingar and Edgeworthstown remains closed this afternoon to facilitate an examination by Forensic Collision Investigators this afternoon. Local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are currently at the scene of a road traffic collision near Multyfarnham, County Westmeath.
The single-vehicle collision occurred on the N4 at Clonhugh at approximately 7:15am this morning, Friday 6th December 2024.
Both occupants of the vehicle were transferred to Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar. The male passenger is in a serious condition while the female driver is receiving treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
The N4 remains closed between Mullingar and Edgeworthstown to facilitate an examination by Forensic Collision Investigators this afternoon. Local diversions are in place.
